Curiosity killed the cat
But satisfaction brought it back

How much must the truth have hurt?
And how much worse was the lie?

I am the cat
Confronted with a truth too awful
This once I will not pursue the ambrosia of truth
Because I refuse to believe it was all a figment of imagination

This pain
It fills me
It stops my words
Keeping them inside

But I wouldn't want to say them anyway
They would fall upon deaf ears
With only a few to listen to what I have to say
And I don't wish to burden any of them

I can't release them

No way of this world can unburden me

Because thoughts I never think
Can not exist, right?

I am in denial

But it is better than Hell
I am accepting ignorance

Because this cat is tired of knowing

I know everything
And each truth is a weight
I am bent, bowed, hobbled, cracked
This last straw will break me, so grass with be burned.
